I wish to draw attention to the access to 157 Glenfern Road. An entry to a caravan park here is most unsafe and is highly likely to increase road accidents. It is on a hill, not far from a busy controlled intersection.
Coming down the hill, cars have just left an 80 km/h speed zone. Turning into the service road a car and caravan would need to make a 180 degree turn. Coming up the hill, it is possible to miss the entry to the service road and overshoot. Glenfern Road / Lysterfield Road / Napoleon Road is a very busy intersection and Caravan Park entry so close will cause confusion.
The turn into the service road is regularly in need of maintenance after heavy rain which sends stones across the bitumen. The service road is not wide enough for a thoroughfare of cars and caravans. The other entry to the property is via Bellair Avenue, a quiet residential street and environs.
