2. A minimum of one space per residential unit should be included in accordance with clause 52.06 of Melbourne Planning Scheme. It is unacceptable that a parking waiver be granted for this proposal for the following reasons:
a. The site is within close proximity to the community shops and the main entrance to Kensington Banks and extra resident parking would create both congestion and a road safety risk. b. Many residences have no on- site parking provision and many households run two cars and already Kensington’s streets are mostly at parking capacity at night.
