I'm not sure what the owners are trying to achieve here. The block to the west was carved up to create a battle-axe block at the rear some twelve months or so ago. Result? A house perched on a tiny block at the front and a block at the rear that has sat empty since the carve up. Apparently the land in question is to receive the same treatment. How short sighted is this? If the block next door hasn't sold, why would anyone one buy a similar one next door? I hope that the new planning initiatives that are coming into force shortly circuit these ill conceived ideas and others that follow.
